Community & Safety Guidelines

Last updated:

PokeTrade AI works because collectors look out for each other. Trades happen in person, so a little common sense keeps everyone safe and makes deals smoother. Please follow these guidelines — they are part of our Terms of Service.

Meet in a public place

Always arrange to meet somewhere public and busy — a card shop, a café, a shopping centre, or a community trading event. Many police stations also offer designated safe-exchange spots. Meet during daylight where you can, tell someone you trust where you are going, and bring a friend if possible. If a meeting feels off, you are never obligated to go through with it — your safety comes first.

Verify cards before you trade

Inspect every card carefully in person before exchanging cash or cards:

  • Check the card’s authenticity, condition, edges, surface, and centering against what was listed.
  • For graded cards, confirm the grading slab and label match the listing and look genuine, and verify the grading company’s certification number where available.
  • Take your time. A trustworthy trader will not rush you or pressure you into deciding on the spot.

Remember that AI scan price estimates are approximate guidance, not an appraisal or a guarantee of value.

No scams, fakes, or chargeback abuse

Honesty is the rule. Do not:

  • sell or trade counterfeit, fake, or reproduction cards, or misrepresent a card’s condition, grading, or authenticity;
  • run scams or deceptive deals, switch a card at the last moment, or fail to bring what you agreed to;
  • abuse payment systems with fraudulent chargebacks after completing a deal; or
  • list items you do not own, cannot legally sell, or do not actually have on hand.

PokeTrade AI is a venue for trades and is not a party to any transaction — deals are settled offline at your own risk — so trading with honest people matters.

Be respectful

Treat fellow collectors the way you would want to be treated. Keep chats friendly and on-topic. We do not tolerate harassment, threats, hate speech, discrimination, sexual content, or spam. Disagreements happen — stay civil, and walk away from a deal rather than escalating.

Report and block

If someone breaks these guidelines, makes you uncomfortable, or seems to be scamming, use the in-app tools to report the user or listing and to block them so they can no longer contact you. Reports help us keep the community safe. You can also email us at poketrade@tuta.com with details. If you are ever in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

Consequences

Breaking these guidelines or our Terms of Service can lead to content removal, limits on features, or suspension or permanent termination of your account, depending on the severity. Serious or illegal conduct may be reported to the appropriate authorities. We want PokeTrade AI to be a place collectors trust — thanks for helping keep it that way.
